What should be inside a cabinet quote
- Materials named specifically - "3/4-inch maple plywood boxes, soft-close undermount slides," not "quality materials"
- Finish process - sprayed and shop-cured beats brushed on site; the quote should say which
- Installation included or itemized - hanging and scribing are real labor; a quote that omits them isn't comparable
- Counters excluded and said so - counters are a separate trade; a cabinet number that quietly includes them can't be compared either
- A schedule - build weeks and install days, in writing
